DEPARTMENT SERVICES

In addition to our regular duties, The Police Department offers a variety of valuable services to our township residents. Please use this guide to to discover what these services are and how they may assist you. Please call our Communications Center at 534-2202 if additional information is needed.

House Check

The Police Department provides House Checks to residents that will be away from their homes on business or vacations. As time permits, Officers will check the exterior of the residence for suspicious activity and also check that the building is secure. To obtain a house check, stop by the Police Department and fill out a short form. House Check information cannot be taken over the telephone due to security reasons.

Fingerprinting Services

Fingerprinting Services will be provided free to charge for Township Residents. Fingerprinting will be done for employment and immigration purposes. Please contact our Communications Center at 534-2202 to arrange an appointment.

Speeches & Tours

Speeches can be presented to your organization on a number of Police related topics. In addition, tours of the Police Station are also available. Please make your requests by mail, to Sgt Roy Warlow, 620 Clearwater Road, Hershey, Pa 17033.

Borrowed Items

Subject to availability, the Police Department may loan traffic cones and no parking sign's to individuals seeking assistance when working around their residence. Please contact our Communications Center at 534-2202 to make arrangements to pick up these items.

Block Parties and Traffic Safety Requests

Block parties are a tradition in many Derry Township neighborhoods, and upon request, the Traffic Safety section can assist in making arrangements for the closing of roadways so the parties can occur safely. The Traffic Safety section is also available to assist with other Traffic Safety requests as needed. Please contact our Communications Center at 534-2202, and ask to speak to a Traffic Safety officer.

Making your home a safe and secure place is very important. Our officers can assist you by coming to your home and providing tips and advice for safeguarding your family and valuables. Please contact our Communications Center at 534-2202 to arrange for an officer to stop by.
